The selected partner will be responsible for conducting a detailed review of all educational spaces on the UNIS Hanoi campus which includes early years, elementary, middle, and high school classrooms as well as the potential for updates to ancillary services (canteen, health center, school shop and offices).
The process envisioned is one that starts with a campus visit commencing in March 2023 to gain an understanding of the project scope. Discussions will be led by the consultant with stakeholder groups to establish the master plan for updating classroom furniture and interior design. The goal will be to have a plan in place by April 2023 so that work can commence at the onset of the summer break 20 June 2023. The consultant will facilitate the design phase and selection of vendors to source furniture and related materials. This RFP is to select a vendor who would create a comprehensive master plan for updating all school furniture and general theme to the various learning and office spaces.
UNIS Hanoi has approximately 85 classrooms and has a total enclosed space of ap. 26,000 square meters (m2) spread over 16 buildings and serves nearly 1,200 students. Classroom size averages about 60 m2 and in addition to the 85 classrooms the campus has another 300 rooms (offices, breakout rooms, staff lounges, restrooms, etc.). The current master plan proposes the demolition of one building (middle/high school) with major renovations to at least one other building. Athletic space currently consists of a 1,400 m2 sports center and two covered sports areas (pool, courts) as well as a full-size turf pitch and full-size grass pitch. The pool and covered courts will either be enclosed immediately or updated per the master plan.
