A4LE and LEARNING BY DESIGN Together Go Deeper

Learning By Design WASHINGTON, DC – The Association for Learning Environments (A4LE) and LEARNING BY DESIGN magazine (LBD) announce the strengthening of their long-standing partnership making LEARNING BY DESIGN the official publication and a benefit of membership in A4LE.

For many years A4LE has contributed editorial in the pages of LBD and supported its awards programs. Moving forward, A4LE and LBD have agreed to expand their relationship for the purpose of creating market awareness, increasing the reach of knowledge that impacts places of learning, and delivering added value to A4LE members and the readers of Learning By Design.

LEARNING BY DESIGN Publisher Mark Goodman says “working with A4LE to develop new programing in underserved areas of PK-12 education will be key to helping to transform the future lives of children and communities. Like we have begun with our work together in Early Childhood Education other pedagogies deserve further exploration and space design answers that others can learn from and emulate.”

A4LE Chair or the Board, Phil Poinelli (Symmes Maini & McKee Associates) commented “A4LE is pleased to announce this partnership, and in doing so LBD becomes our ‘official publication’. This collaboration will give our members a place to publish expert knowledge and insight over the vast range of education, educational planning and design topics. We are also planning to partner on select symposia, providing increased venues for speaking and learning. This collaboration also allows us to provide our clients, the children, opportunity, access and equity to an education they deserve.”

Both organizations have renewed their agreement to strive to enhance each other’s mission and visions. For A4LE (A4LE.org) The Association for Learning Environments is a professional 501 (c)(3) non-profit association whose sole mission is improving the places where children learn. For LBD (learningbydesignmagazine.com) it is the knowledge-based platform for education facility design innovation and excellence. LBD is a resource for a multidisciplinary group of professionals who administrate, design, and outfit PK-12, higher education, and other types of learning environments. Each of the three annual editions of LEARNING BY DESIGN reaches 50,000+ readers.
