Troy Glover Named Chair of the Board for the Association for Learning Environments

Troy Glover WASHINGTON, DC – The Association for Learning Environments (A4LE) Board of Directors has named Troy Glover, ALEP, LE Fellow, Chair of its global board of directors. Mr. Glover assumed the role upon the conclusion of the association's annual LearningSCAPES conference which was held in San Antonio, Texas. He was nominated and elected to the board executive committee in 2019.

Mr. Glover is presently a planner and senior associate with DLR Group, an integrated design firm that serves a variety of client types, including education. Mr. Glover has more than 25 years of educational planning experience and is an Accredited Learning Environment Planner (ALEP). He works with school clients across the nation to develop educational specifications, facility master plans, strategic plans, educational adequacy evaluations, facility evaluations, and community engagement processes. Mr. Glover has also co-authored several articles on urban issues. He has been an active member of the Association for Learning Environments for more than 20 years and has served as a member or chair of several committees at the international level: Membership, Values/Communication, Strategic Planning and Fellows Designation. At the regional level, Mr. Glover has served as the Midwest Great Lakes Regional President, Past President, Treasurer, and Awards Committee Chair. At the Chapter level, Mr. Glover is an at-large board member and has served on the regional conference planning committee. Mr. Glover has a Bachelor of Science Degree from Morris College, Master of City and Regional Planning from The Ohio State University and has completed a Science and Engineering Program at Clark Atlanta University (formerly Atlanta University).

"I look forward to working with A4LE Board of Directors, staff, and members to implement the Association's recently developed strategic plan, move the Association to new levels of strategic development to increase public awareness of the importance of high-quality learning environments, and to expand our Association to seek new markets to develop our reach as an organization," said Glover.

He brings a high level of statesmanship and understanding of organizational strategies that positions the association for success during his tenure.
