INTRODUCTION

The Symposium on Measured Learning Environment Outcomes brings together experts in the measurement of teaching and learning outcomes as impacted by the learning environment. New technologies using Artificial Intelligence allow for novel measures and unique insights.

The Symposium will cover a range of topics, including indicators related to student learning outcomes, student engagement, and immersion within content, as well as teacher wellbeing and satisfaction. It will also explore best practices in teaching and learning pedagogy for next-generation jobs and workforce development, among other areas.

Lastly, the Symposium will showcase new innovations in education driven by Artificial Intelligence, allowing attendees to directly engage with leaders in the field and explore cutting-edge solutions for schools.

DESIGN IMPACT ON LEARNING OUTCOMES & EDUCATIONAL INNOVATIONS

The pace of change within our workforce, industry and communities is exponentially accelerating. The daily introduction of new tools using Artificial Intelligence as well as the impact of robotics on industry, the requirements for innovation and creative problem solving, and challenges related to migration and public policy are driving new expectations for schools, students, and teachers.

The built environment, from school footprint to use of space, to the classroom microenvironment, is similarly shifting to meet those needs. However, the outcomes related to shifts in design and architecture are not straightforward nor obvious.

The need for measured outcomes associated with key design features, architecture, and classroom environments has never been greater.

The Symposium takes attendees on a journey from considering the many changes across our broader society to the need for new measures within the learning environment and the technology available today to derive new insights into teaching and learning.
