Oregon / SW Washington Educational Furniture Showcase. Join us for a fun evening to discuss and experience how furniture supports learners & can enhance classroom engagement! Visit interactive furniture scenes brought to us by Workpointe and SBI. Each vignette, designed with all learners in mind, will allow us to experience first-hand how furniture creates a landscape of endless possibilities to support different modes of teaching and learning. This is a great opportunity for designers, educators and school administrators to get acquainted with how flexible furnishings can positively impact the learning experience. Light snacks and beverages will be provided.

Learning Objectives:

• Designing for Student Health and Well-Being
  Understand how ergonomic furniture design impacts students' physical health and comfort, reducing strain and promoting better posture during learning activities.
• Creating Safe Learning Environments
  Identify key safety considerations in furniture selection, such as material durability, stability, and compliance with fire safety and accessibility standards like ICC A117.1-2017.
• Enhancing Learning Through Flexible and Functional Spaces
  Explore how adaptable furniture solutions support diverse learning styles and encourages collaborative, student-centered environments.
• Sustainable Furniture Choices for K-12 Facilities
  Evaluate the environmental impact of materials and manufacturing processes, and discover sustainable furniture options that contribute to healthier indoor air quality and reduced carbon footprint.
