Tour & Dinner Presentation
Mariner High School
Thursday, June 12, 2025
Tour: 4:30 – 5:30 pm PT
Dinner/Presentation: 6:00 – 8:00 pm PT

Mariner High School is excited to introduce its newly modernized campus, made possible by the 2020 Capital Bond. Originally built in 1968 and expanded over the years, the modernization aims to alleviate overcrowding in public spaces, increase lunch seating capacity, and provide areas for students after hours. The design enhances the campus, blending new features with the existing structure through durable, low-maintenance materials like brick veneer, metal siding, and insulated glazing, selected to complement the original building.
At the heart of the transformation is a new two-story student center, which creates an inviting space for creativity, collaboration, and 21st-century learning. With flexible areas for studying, socializing, and relaxing, this open space prioritizes flow and reduces hallway congestion. New spaces also include an updated library, expanded career and counseling centers, and flexible classroom-sized rooms on both floors, designed to serve a variety of functions.
A new plaza adjacent to the commons connects the interior to outdoor spaces, bringing natural light into the heart of the school. The library sits above the student center, while the career and counseling areas are located directly below. Additional updates include a new fire alarm system and turf for existing infields, with polished concrete floors on the first floor and resilient tile on the second.
These additions not only expand capacity but also provide comfortable, inclusive spaces where students can express themselves, connect, and prepare for their future. Mariner High School is set to welcome students back in fall 2024, ready to serve as a vibrant center for both learning and community.

Dinner Program Presentation: Continuity through Planning
In an industry where strong relationships drive both project and firm success, leadership transitions can create ripples that reshape the
business landscape. In recent years, we’ve seen a wave of leadership changes—some carefully planned, others unexpected. As new
leaders emerge, new dynamics take shape within and outside the firm. Relationships between successor, predecessors, clients, peers,
and those who provide business operational support are critical to a successful transition. Join industry peers who are navigating these
transitions firsthand as they share their experiences, insights, and the strategies they’re using to lead in this evolving environment.
